The Breonna Taylor situation is incredibly sad, but what is the justice people are fighting for, what are they going to charge the cops with?
This is what I know about the situation. The Cops went to Taylors apartment because they had a signed no-knock warrant. Both her boyfriend and the cops claim they knocked anyway. The police claim they stated they were police, while the boyfriend disputes that and says he never heard them declare they were police.
When the police broke in, the boyfriend rightfully got scared, thought someone was scared and started shooting. From the police perspective, they were entering a place under warrant and now were being shot at, ao they returned fire. None of this seems unreasonable to me on either side.
What I do agree with is that No Knock warrants shouldnt be allowed. I believe they are now illegal. Also the argument could be made that the warrant was unjustified.
If I missed details let me know. What do you think should happen?
This is a sensetive topic, but try and keep things civil.
